Palacio Bucarelli Review, Sevilla

This year I celebrated my birthday in Sevilla, my favorite Spanish city. I wished for a totally different experience, a weekend of relaxation and pleasure, and so, I made a reservation at one of the most exquisite hotels in town, “Palacio Bucarelli”. This hotel is truly amazing! I felt like I was living in a fairytale. I can easily say I had the most beautiful birthday ever and the main reason was this hotel. The only way to describe  Palacio Bucarelli is “Welcome to Paradise.”

Quick Check-in, professional team šŸ¤µ

The Palace is managed by Nano, a young manager, who, immediately after my reservation, sent me a welcome e-mail, with all the required information to help me get there. Using Uber, it took me about 5 minutes from the bus terminal. The location is excellent, right next to the historical center. Nano greeted me in a professional manner, offered me a complete tour of the Palace, and upon my arrival, sent me a second e-mail, containing the names of the best restaurants around, internet connection settings, and ideas about how to enjoy the hotel’s features.

The entire staff was great and went above and beyond my expectations to make sure my stay there was magical. Just look at how they decorated the room for my birthday, with balloons and hearts, and on the table, waiting for me, was a box of luxury chocolates. I was profoundly impressed!

5 Star Penthouse šŸ›

Palacio Bucarelli offers 16 luxury apartments, each with its own identity, one of them also boasting a private pool. I chose the Penthouse, which served as a wonderful sanctuary, after a  full day of visiting Sevilla. The apartment has all the amenities of a modern studio, beautifully mixed with historical details. The kitchen is fully equipped, (has even oil and spices). The toilet, sink, and shower were all top quality, with organic hygiene products. The bed is huge, king-size, with lots of comfortable pillows. There’s also an LCD TV with access to Netflix, obviously an AC unit, and on the upper floor, there’s a study and a relaxation area. It’s airy and decorated in a minimalist fashion way, so it felt like I had a huge apartment all to myself.

XVIIth Century inspired decoration šŸŽ

The building itself looks like it was taken straight out of a classic movie. Located in an old XVII century Palace, the entire interior was put together in a very smart way, respecting its historical heritage, whilst also offering modern features and amenities. The result is breathtaking.

The inside court is a small oasis of relaxation

The interior terrace of the Palace reminded me of the Morrocan Riads which I love so much, probably its Arabian influences. What’s a Riad? It’s an interior patio, surrounded by two-story apartments. The terrace and the patio are oases, meant for relaxation. There’s a small pool to help you cool off on hot summer days, an area with couches, armchairs, and sunbeds, where I spent some of my mornings reading, and a corner boasting a bar full of strong drinks that were up for grabs if you wanted to chit-chat with friends. It was definitely the right choice for my birthday!

At Palacio Bucarelli breakfast is served in your room šŸ„

The breakfast was delivered right in front of my door on a folding table, at the hour I specified. I received a big picnic basket full of quality goodies: a healthy choice of yogurt, fresh fruits, different kinds of artisanal bread, honey, butter, jam, fresh orange juice, and cinnamon gingerbread for dessert.  I really enjoyed this option, of having breakfast in the privacy of my own room, in a bathrobe, skipping the dressing up, and going out for breakfast.
